Painting Advice & Demos
Learn from the experts at our daily paint demos, presented by the Master Painters, Decorators and Signwriters Association (MPA) of South Australia; the industry association representing the interests of decorating and signwriting contractors and employers in South Australia.

The MPA seeks to advance, encourage and recognize the highest standards of trade craftsmanship and ethical business practice. Since its foundation in 1907, the Association has functioned as an independent representative for companies and individuals conducting business in the painting, decorating and signwriting trades, it is a nonprofit employer association wholly owned by its members and managed by an elected committee.

Artisan Woodwork Gallery by Woodgroup SA
At the Show you can see & buy hundreds of original pieces, each hand crafted locally, using quality Australian timbers, some reclaimed from a wood heap or recycled from fence posts. Re-purposing good unwanted materials into things of beauty is a valuable contribution to our environment.

Each piece is an original and has been turned to reveal the beauty of the grain or perhaps it has been enhanced by suitable carving, piercing, inlays, or other decoration. The range of different artists exhibiting ensures a wide variety of styles and items to choose from.

Woodgroup SA fosters the development and formation of incorporated woodworking associations across South Australia, it assists its member woodworking clubs to recruit people wanting to pursue woodworking interests, specifically the crafts of wood turning, wood carving and wood sculpture, scroll sawing, pyrography (commonly known as wood burning) and toy making.

Anyone with an interest in the craft is welcome to speak to one of our members or demonstrators about membership.
